Membership

New members are always welcome, just come along to one of our monthly meetings at the RAFA club. You can even 'try us out' for a few months before you decide on joining as an official member. The meetings are informal (there's a bar!) and the club members are (mostly) friendly, approachable and happy to pass on guidance and information to anybody interested in bonsai- whatever your level of experience.

February Gordale workshop

Hi One and All
On the 26th of February 2012 we were at our Favourite Venue Gordales Award Winning Garden Center (GGC) for our Last Sunday of The Month Workshop even tho some could not make it this time  we had a pleasant, enjoyable and constructive day We did have a newbie in our midst,Colin who brought 2 of his own Trees to work on and seek advice from everyone
During the day it was a wee bit quite but now and again it livened up and we seem to have had a great  rapport with the Public as always we were delighted to see some regulars and new people arriving with thier Own Bonsai Tree to our Workshop Tables so Andy, Dena, Doug,  Ian,Tom and Tony were all eager and willing to assist with questions, trying to solve problems on a Ladies Maple, a Gentleman's Redwood Small Forest also Lady who asked for advice on a Serissa Foetica plus another Bonsai Tree which escapes me for now and handing out W-B-S Flyers whilst working on thier own Bonsai Trees.
As always we all would like to thank Karen of the GGC for looking after us all and we look forward to being back next month  in March when Mr Steve Tolley will be in attendance during our Bonsai Workshop

Take care and look after each other and all your Bonsai Trees
Jim thelad

 Doug....under close scrutiny!!!

Which bit do you want to keep??

Tony looks closely after some work on a Juniper.

Happy Birthday Blog

Well... hasn't time flown...

I'd like to say a big thank you to Jim for his excellent input over the last year, long may it continue.
It's safe to say his input has given a fresh impetuous to the blog content, something that was probably waining due my time being taken up elsewhere.

Blog Interaction

You may notice a new addition below every post, its an addition to Blogger that allows linking posts to popular social network sites, endorsing posts to other bloggers and commenting on posts.
See what you think and use as you see fit.
Plus Iv'e removed the blog poll at the bottom of the page (which suffered from multiple spam votes!) and replaced it with a list of the most recent popular posts.
Cheers
Iain
