February Meeting -Simon Temblett

Below are pictures of the restyling of a wonderful Willow undertaken by Simon.
Plus one of the reason I couldnt make it (again!)

"Simon started by cutting off what was not required, dead branches etc. then went on to a more dramatic approach of diverting the course of the sap.
Where he didn't want the sap to flow he cut away the bark back to the wood, this, he hopes will force the sap to flow on the opposite side of the cut.
Drastic measures indeed, I guess the tree has two chances.......!!
